FLORAL FOUNDATION is a three-day intensive for those who want to start their journey in floristry from zero and learn the fundamental rules and principles on which everything else in floral design is built.

This is not just a course about making a beautiful bouquet. It is about understanding the foundation of floristry — how flowers work together, how to build a composition, how to work with colour, shape, texture, balance, volume and proportion.

Over three days, we will break down the basic principles of working with flowers and creating bouquets and floral compositions. You will learn how to choose flowers, combine different forms and textures, build a balanced composition and understand why each element is placed where it is.

We will work with real flowers and spend a lot of time practicing — from flower preparation and spiral technique to creating your own bouquet and floral composition.

The main goal of Foundation is to give you a clear understanding of why you do things a certain way.

Why do these flowers work together?
Why does one bouquet feel balanced and another one doesn't?
How do you create shape, volume and proportion?
How do colour, texture and form work together?

These are the basic rules and principles that you will use again and again, no matter which direction of floristry you choose later.

Foundation is the starting point, the base that everything else is built on.

Once you understand these principles, you can move on to develop your own style, technique and direction in floristry.
